1. About these terms

BibSnap is a marketplace for race photography. Photographers and race organisers (“studios”) upload photographs from an event and set a price. Runners search by bib number and buy the photographs they appear in. Section 2 applies to studios, section 3 to buyers, and sections 4 onwards to everyone.

2. Studios selling on BibSnap

• You keep your copyright. You grant BibSnap a non-exclusive licence to store your photographs, to create watermarked previews and thumbnails, to display those previews publicly, and to deliver the full-resolution files to buyers on your behalf.
• You confirm you may sell them. You are responsible for having the rights and the permissions needed to photograph the event and to sell the images, including any accreditation the organiser requires.
• You set the price. BibSnap charges a platform fee per photograph sold. Your fee terms, and whether the fee is absorbed by you or added to what the runner pays, are shown in your dashboard.
• BibSnap collects the money as merchant. Sales are credited to your balance on our ledger. You request a payout, and payouts are reviewed before money is sent to the mobile money account you nominate.
• Takedowns. If someone photographed at an event asks for an image to be removed, we may withdraw it from sale and will tell you why.
• Automated bib reading. Photographs are processed by automated bib-number recognition so runners can find themselves. Recognition is imperfect, and you can correct or add bib numbers yourself.

3. Buying photographs

• What you get. Payment buys you the full-resolution, unwatermarked files for the photographs you selected, and a personal licence to use them: printing them, keeping them, and posting them on your own social media.
• What you may not do. You may not resell the photographs, license them onward, or use them to advertise a business without the studio's written permission. Copyright stays with the photographer.
• Delivery. After payment you receive a download link, shown on screen and sent by SMS, and by email if you gave an address. The link expires and allows a limited number of downloads, both shown on the download page. Save your files once you have them.
• Buying for someone else. You may send the link to a different number. Whoever holds the link can download the files, so treat it as private.
• Payment. Payments are taken by mobile money through our payment provider. You approve the charge on your handset. Nothing is charged if you do not approve it.
• Refunds. Digital files cannot be returned once downloaded. If you were charged and did not receive your photographs, or the wrong runner's photographs were delivered, contact us with your reference and we will refund you.
• Finding the right photographs. Bib numbers are read automatically and can be misread. Check the previews are of you before paying, since that is what the watermarked previews are for.

4. Privacy

Buying does not create an account. We keep the phone number used to pay, the number or email the link was sent to, and the order itself, because we need them to deliver your photographs, to answer support questions and to keep proper financial records. We do not sell personal data. If you appear in a photograph and want it removed, ask us and we will act on it.

5. Availability and liability

We work to keep BibSnap available, particularly on race days, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the order concerned. Nothing here removes rights you have under Zambian consumer law.

6. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The version you accepted applies to your order or your studio registration, and material changes will be notified to studios. Questions, takedown requests and refund requests: support@usezuhile.com.
